Whether you are producing a play, dance concert or special event in a fully equipped theatre, or in a totally unequipped non-theatre space, Galley Theatre Lighting can help.
As The Luminaires Group, Charles and Sandra Galley, assisted by personally selected designers and technicians, can provide the lighting design and production services you need. Read the following scenarios and judge for yourself.

Q: I am a high school drama instructor. A student has asked if she can design the lighting for the spring musical. Although she's creative, she has no experience with lighting. Most of our student crew graduated last year. Can you help?A: Working with the student and teacher, The Luminaires Group can develop a lighting plot, hook-up and cueing for the show using in-house equipment supplemented by rental equipment if necessary. The Luminaires Group will hang and focus the show, giving interested students the opportunity to work with an experienced lighting technician and enabling the faculty advisor to concentrate on other aspects of the production.

Q: I am a choreographer planning to tour three new dances at four different venues. I need a lighting designer and someone who will be responsible for supervising the lighting hang and focus at each venue. Can you help?A: The Luminaires Group will work with the choreographer to design the lighting for each piece, and will co-ordinate technical services with each of the four venues, supplying technicians and/or rental equipment as necessary. The choreographer is thus assured consistent, quality lighting throughout the tour.
Q: We are planning an event to benefit our local historical society. We would like to hold it in a renovated 19th century mill building. We will have a dinner, dancing, an auction and entertainment. We want to create a special atmosphere with lighting, but don't know where to start! Can you help?A: Finding an adequate power source and a plan for hanging lighting fixtures from the building's structure will be the first step for The Luminaires Group. Working with the benefit committee, a lighting design will be created and installed, enhancing all aspects of this special evening.
